Not in a million years did I think I'd go to a gym. My friend who was a member from the start got me a two week pass just to try out. I've never looked back. A gym? More like an ultra-glam, Hollywood club… beautiful studios, fancy lighting, an obscene amount of equipment, music everywhere you go – even in the showers… and yet it's so incredibly friendly, welcoming and unpretentious... and clean!!
I go primarily for the yoga and dance but because they keep adding such diverse classes, there's always something new to try. It's free so why not do something different every week! It's all about having a go, having a laugh. And they seem to have an inordinate amount of parties :) That's what I mean, it's a club not a gym. And if you have any feedback about anything the staff are all over it. We like that.

The first thing that struck me when meeting with some of the team at V Club was their professionalism and passion for what they do. They're good people who also know a thing or two about fitness and are willing to share their knowledge and inspiration about well being practices. The superb facilities that I've had access to for the past twelve months further compliment these attributes.
Every organisation is only as good as the people behind it. V Club has a unique positioning, reflected by their commitment to their growing membership base. Well done.

Hi, I have been a member prior to your opening and do get a lot out of the club. In particular I wanted to pass on some positive feedback about your staff. I think that Deb, Robbie, Mandy are fantastic instructors and I really enjoy how they provide variety in your schedule. They seem to compliment each other and make for a very rewarding workout. They are supportive, very knowledgeable and just seem like really nice people.
Also wanted to say how great Emma at reception is. I can't think of another retail person who represents a brand with such passion, helpfulness and friendliness. Can exercise really make you that happy!!! I think Emma is such an asset to your club and just wanted you to know that from a customer’s point of view.
Please can you pass this on to the appropriate people in the club, and I hope the club continues to be successful. Cheers

I’ve heard people say that nothing in this world is stable, it is forever changing. Well that reality hit me hard late last year. I was on my university holiday break and I was travelling through the Himalayas within India when in an instant the car I was sitting in lost control sliding off the side of the mountain. I cannot remember what happened, just waking up on the side of the mountain and being rescued.
This brought me to Sydney as my parents live here and to rehab at Concord Hospital. Slowly my body aches and pains were improving however I did not feel satisfied with my physical functioning. With no broken bones the doctors told me I could join a gym. So I searched around and one day walked into V Club and joined the same day. It looked like a well run, fun place with very modern facilities and a huge program list of classes including yoga and Pilates/Reformer classes which were recommended by my doctor.
With plenty of time on my hands as I was given the semester of uni off and granted a medical certificate I started spending a considerable amount of time at V Club enjoying the relief I was receiving from yoga and Pilates. However, I have always loved weight training and even though I was tentative and scared hired a personal trainer.
For the past 2 months I have persisted and I can truly feel my body responding and getting stronger, plus I have just learnt so much about myself/body and how to train properly/functionally. Physical pain is dissolving from my body.
Those people did tell me that nothing is stable, however I feel that the only thing stable and constant that I can control is my reaction and attitude towards every moment.
V Club has been and is a great environment for me to improve and get excited about my unknown future.

I have been a member of V Club for nearly a year. I have always seen Helen around, cleaning in the gym and the changing rooms. I come at all different times and she always seems to be here. It’s like she never goes home! Thank You for being that invisible quite force that keeps the place nice – even when there are lots of rushed grumpy and stressed faces around that don’t seem to notice or appreciate it. I do for one and I’m sure I’m not alone.

From the moment I walked in the door of V Club, I knew it was a different kind of place. Everybody – and I mean EVERYBODY – was so friendly and welcoming. Nobody looked at me strangely and said I should be there – that I didn’t fit the profile.
I was on a mission to change my life, and I’d found the place to do it, and the people to help me. Jason guided me through the membership process with kindness, charm, and a generous spirit – and he’s looked after me ever since. For well over a year now, V Club has been my home away from home, with the finest gym and studios I’ve seen anywhere. It’s been such a pleasure to be part of the early days of V Club.

If you had asked me at the start of the year if going to a gym was an option. The answer would be a straight up “NO”! Guess it depends on the gym!
V is not just about treadmills, weights and boxing classes. Finding the person I want to be within, I jumped head first into its dance classes, hip hop, street jazz, exotic and gradually ventured into unfamiliar territory like Les Mills classes (BTW, can we have more?).
A club like V, I guess, makes me want to go each time, the variety, the people, the facilities – all top notch!
All the reasons/excuses before are now worked around. So if I can find the time, being a mum to 2 kids under 5, and working full time, anyone can!
Happy to recommend this fantastic club!

I was shown the gym facilities by Carmen. She was highly professional, understanding, and really seemed to genuinely acknowledge my fitness goals. She was respectful and her attitude towards my fitness goals was very motivating.
At first I had no intention of joining this gym, however the state of the art facilities, and friendly welcoming staff like Carmen really changed my mind. She is perhaps one of the best sales persons I’ve dealt with and have no hesitation in recommending her to any of my friends/family who may wish to join.

Variety is how I will describe V Club as a whole.
It could be seen through the classes and facilities that were offered. Most will imagine a gym to be a dark, dull and a dirty place where everybody is squashed around doing their workout, but for V it is a different case, V offers a clean and spacious facility where members can enjoy doing their workout. The V timetable for classes is flexible and set up at times that are convenient for me. All the equipment is much better than most of the gym I’ve seen.
The staff at V are highly energetic and helpful. They make an effort to get to know their members and make them feel like part of the club.
The overall commitment of the staff and top notch equipment is what makes V Club different to other gyms.

I would just like to say what a great job Justina does.
Ever since I have joined this gym, her service has been great from tailor making my membership to suit me and my needs, nothing is to much trouble for her when you need anything and she is always there to help, also she has kept me motivated to keep coming everyday and due to this I have now lost 13kgs.
I want to say Job Well Done Justina.
Thanks,

I first visited V Club to support a friend that was interested in joining who had never been in a gym before. At that point I felt dubious about re-joining a gym from previous experiences and training burnout. A number of things convinced me to join.
Andy’s relaxed and fun approach was a great introduction to the gym and represents the style of V Club. Andy’s suggestions in how to make this membership work for me was the best thing that he could have done. The last year has been life changing for me. V Club has been about a healthy balance of fitness with my life. This time I’m not getting burnout, but am powering through and getting even better results then I have ever had without killing myself. One important factor which people may not realise is, if one small thing happens it can totally put you off training. I have occasionally spoken with Andy about some things that I need help with. Andy without fail always found a solution and sorted it out. To know that there is someone there that personally knows me, my training style, my friends and is there to help me out when its needed is fantastic and has helped me keep my training stable and improve way beyond what I thought was possible.

I wasn’t a member of a gym and the first time I walked into V I took a friend with me because I was scared!! I shouldn’t have been!
I’d never even been in a gym before and didn’t know what to expect – but once Andy had shown me through the gym and introduced me to the people who work there I couldn’t wait to join. I’d always imagined gyms to be sweat shops with people queuing to use machines but I’ve never queued for anything at V (except for free drinks on the social nights!). Oh – and the best bit – my friend ended up joining the same day as me!! So much more fun than training alone!
What makes V different is the people, I’m greeted by name every time I walk in there and I don’t feel like it’s a place that I need to go to – its more like a place I want to be! Thanks for getting me started Andy – I wouldn’t be literally half the women I was without you!

V Club was a pleasant surprise. For me motivation was a big seller and V Club with its friendly staff, social atmosphere and seemingly endless schedule of fitness classes I have trouble staying away.

One day I was walking and I felt a taunting
Music was blaring
I felt myself staring
I was interested to explore
I walked through the door
Was then amazed to what is saw
Floor upon floor of entertainment and delight
People all happy
Healthy and glowing
Contagious from the first flight
I wanted it all
The dancing, the yoga, the boxing, the pilates
On the gym floor the trainers were training
I was intrigued to learn as I watched in awe
The prospect of daning
Bollywood to hollywood, latin to street
Exotic, erotic
Wor, turn up the heat!
Count myself in, this is my treat
V Club is THE club
So come on Neet.
My story is about overcoming
Exercise is healing
Exercise is appealing
I have to be well
I have to prepare to fight the fight
My plight is to believe my illness will not be me
I am strong
I am meek

You have cared
You have shared
It is nice seeing you with your passion
In helping others
A Spinologist to be, taught by Anthony,
Study hard, do not tire
You will live

I signed up for V Club because of the great variety of classes, but jumped at the chance to sample a free personal training session through the club when I first joined. That was the day I met Brenda…
After 4 months of slacking off at the gym and only the occasional run I was looking for the motivation to kick start my fitness regime. I remember telling Brenda how I would want her to really push me to get the best out of myself – she hasn’t disappointed!
In just eight weeks (and 2 sessions a week) I have lost a total of 29 cms from my chest, waist, hips and butt and reduced my body fat percentage by 4%. People have commented on how I look and I am feeling full of energy. My motivation for exercise is as high as it has ever been because Brenda has something different to keep me entertained and to keep me pushing myself.
She has been incredible to work with – always tailoring the program to suit my needs (even to accommodate an injury!) and to help me to achieve my goals. Thanks Brenda – I couldn’t do it without you!

To me, personal training is not about lifting the heaviest weight or running the longest distance. Its about being motivated by someone else to push past your comfort zone and challenge yourself. In turn it’s a challenge for the personal trainer to customise a program and to exceed the expectations of their customers. Craig does this, taking time to ensure the experience is rewarding as well as challenging, and for the first time makes me choose to train with him and V Club as he listens to what I want and sees what I need and combines the two - Awesome.

It is with great pleasure that I write this testimonial about Gemma. I’m glad to have joined the personal training programme. Although, its only been three weeks the results have been amazing. Our sessions consist of both hard work and fun. I’ve noticed I’m a lot more energetic and confident in whatever I do. I couldn’t have asked for a better personal trainer.
Thank You.

“Did you change your hairstyle?” a friend asked, but I did not.
“This new suit is really good” a colleague commented, but its an old one.
“Is that you???” the next door neighbour asked coming out of the lift. Yes, it’s me.
So I thought I would lodge an official complaint to V Club for all these annoying comments. However, I know it is not their fault, it is Pascals’ fault – my Personal Trainer. Him and his systematic fine-tuned program of exercises is the cause of all this, but what good can a complaint do. Instead of a complaint, I decided to ask for some funds for my wardrobe, because my “new” shoulders cannot fit in my old shirts.
I went to V club to get a bit fitter, but now I have a completely new body.

My name is Tony Boyadjian. I am 43 years of age. I have never enjoyed or been a fan of gyms. However, I joined V Club at the end of April 2009 with a goal to lose weight and get healthy.
I was 115kgs and unfit. I suffer from Lupus and Gout and have been on medication for over 10 years. I committed myself to personal training under Pascal Shaw three days a week.
Pascal is a vastly experienced trainer. His sessions are enjoyable, informative and tailored to my needs and capabilities. He is a great listener and understands my goals in training.
Since my training with Pascal began, I have rid myself of any Gout pain and its subsequent medication. I have lost 13kgs in weight and significantly increased core strength, muscle mass and fitness. I am only at 1/3 of my target and with Pascal I know I will achieve and maintain the weight loss and better heath in the future.
Regards,
Tony Boyadjian

I’d need 2000 words to fully go into detail about the amazing difference training with Pascal has made to my life. In the past 7 weeks that I’ve had the privilege of working with him, I have lost more than 7kgs, gained definition and muscle mass, plus for the first time I actually like what I see when I look in the mirror after years of hating how my body looked. I can say with confidence that, thanks to him, I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I’ve ever been. Every session with Pascal is fun, varied, challenging and pushes me beyond what I thought I was capable of.
I have been using gyms for the last 10 years but always went through phases of losing interest and taking 2-3 week breaks before restarting. Now I don’t go more than 2 days without wanting to get up and be active – whether its going to the gym or another activity like swimming or running. I have a new found motivation and passion for taking care of my body and Pascal has been instrumental to this new way of thinking. He is the BEST!!!

I trust Pascal given that I can see and feel improved results with my health. Though I only have had 2 weeks worth of training with him. So far I have lost 3kg, regaining my balance, building up my strength on a steady pace and this is just the start.
I know this might not be a sufficient testimony to some. However, through Pascal I discovered that there is more to it than just doing physical movement. Pascal is not only helping me achieve my goals in fitness, but he is educating me as well which in turn helps me remember, apply the exercises correctly and appreciate the hard work he puts into his chosen career. Each time he shows me a particular exercise, he shows and explains which muscles I am working on, the proper postures and why. There is no such thing as a stupid question to him, for he makes it okay and comfortable to ask any question and always gives me a precise answer.
Pascal is a consummate professional and is genuine in helping me achieve the best fitness level suitable for me. He is working me hard and he is not ashamed to say so because my goals are his goals. He does not take any of my excuses when it comes to getting me to do the exercises. With his patience, knowledge and commitment I don’t have any reason why I should not meet any fitness goal because I know he will not allow me to fail.

Upon joining V Club the first step I undertook was to enlist the services of Pascal. His name was mentioned with such high regard as the most sought out Personal Trainer. After my initial intro session, which he handled with such enthusiasm and professionalism, I knew I was on my way to achieving my goals.
Not only is Pascal genuinely interested in my fitness and training but also my health and wellbeing. His tenacity to resolve any underlying health issues have helped me achieve results in no time.
In my few short weeks training the inches have decreased and the weight is slowly reducing. The change is remarkable. Over the years I have had a few PTs, but never have I come across someone who is dedicated, passionate, driven, motivated by what they do. He genuinely truly cares about my needs and that of his clients. He has the insight into a persons strengths and weaknesses and uses it to build those strengths even further and encourages me to work and improve on my weaknesses. I feel as if I have become a better person then when I first walked in the club.
Pascal takes the time to show me correct techniques, posture, breathing when doing each exercise. My homework is to maintain a daily journal and record food intake and activities done. He monitors this every session to improve my diet and exercise.
Pascal is unique and are commodity in an industry where the core fundamentals he encompasses is lacking.
His experience, knowledge and not to mention easy going nature and humour make him an asset to this club or any other. My journey has only started but I am not alone, Pascal is guiding me every step of the way.

Dear Pascal,
Thank you very much for coaching me for the Mt. Barney June 2009 WWDT Adventure.
Your wise counsel (from diet, stretching, endurance training, power and strength training) helped me to ensure 10 hours strenous walk to and from the summit. I attach WWOT newsletter with Mt. barney article and my name singled out. I am 50 years old and have an old injury to my right leg. The leg is still smaller and weaker compared to the other leg.
I trust that training with you (and that is the only reason I come to the gym) will help me and my body to get that leg better if not as food as the one without the injury.
Your experience, skills and bright personality have inspired me to persist in the very difficult pursuit of changing my body and mind.

On the first terrifying morning I walked into V Club I was greeted with a big bright smile and warm ‘good morning’ from the girl on the desk EMMA, who made me feel instantly at ease.
A week later Emma knew me by name and that I had a soft spot for cycle classes, 20 months later I still get the same bright smile and warm greeting every time I come in, which at 6.30am is a hard ask. I figure V Club was a different kind of gym, but when Emma started congratulating me on how well I was doing, getting fitter and losing weight, I knew for sure it was a different kind of place. People in Emma’s kind of role, actually most people working at gyms don’t take that much interest in the people they meet, but Emma does and getting encouragement and a positive attitude and feeling as soon as you walk in the door really does set Emma, and the whole V Club team apart from other gyms I’ve been to.
Keep up the great work Emma & Team it is really appreciated.

Dear all Staff and Members of V Club,
Firstly, I would like to thank Akhi and Carmen for helping me join V Club. It means so much to me and it makes a big difference to me since I’ve first joined up. It has changed me a lot and I realise I’m putting on more muscle, looking good and feeling good about myself. The positive feedbacks are a massive boost of confidence for me and I feel good about myself, thanks again.
V Club is not like any other gyms I joined before and definitely nothing like Fitness First. V Club has more high-tech facilities and equipment, good personal trainers and lots of classes ranging from Yoga, Dance, Cycle, Boxing, Body Pump™ and may more than I can remember.
Carmen is one of the best staff members I know at V Club. Very helpful, friendly and easy going. Thanks for all the offer you made to me, its really kind and helpful of you thanks.
Cheers
